Fourth grade students created circular weavings. Students wrapped a coil with yarn five times before taking a stitch, connecting the coils together to create a circular weaving. This process gave the students a foundation for how to create woven bowls and vases.

ReplyDeleteI've kind of done what you are doing in this post...making a coil wrapped basket. It was fun...but I did it at a camp. Not sure about doing it with 100+ kids.
