Fall Trees

First grade students learned how to create a tree from practicing their letter "V's" and "Y's."

Students began by drawing parallel lines to create a trunk.  "V's" were drawn to create large branches.  Letter "Y's" were stacked to create small branches.  Fall colored leaves were painted with a small brush. Students even created leaf piles at the bottom of their trees.
