Pinch Pots

First grade students created clay pinch pots.  Students pushed their thumb through the center of a clay ball, pinching the sides to create a pot.  From here the creativity began.  Students could leave their work a pot or they could flip it over to create a shell or body of an animal.  Extra clay was added to create their masterpiece.  The money raised at our Kids Art Fair allows our school the opportunity and funds to do clay and glazes.
