Self Portraits

First grade students worked hard on learning how to create a self portrait.  Students learned that their eyes belong in the center of their face, learned how to draw a nose and lips.  The portraits were drawn on black paper and then colored in with oil pastels.  Students could create a normal looking self portrait or incorporate bright colors inspired by Pablo Picasso.  Designs were added in the background.
