City Skyline

Second grade students looked at a city skyline of Cincinnati, Ohio.  We discussed what you see from a distance.  Buildings were drawn overlapping to show multiple layers of buildings.  Windows, doors and details were added to each building.  Some students chose to show the buildings reflecting in the Ohio river.  Students enjoyed learning how to create the tiara type roofline, similar to our cities Great American building.  A watercolor wash was painted over the crayon buildings, details and sky.
