Second grade students created coil shapes from clay. They had a choice of a heart, star or sun shape. Students began with a coil border. Then students rolled coils to create spirals, zig zags or clay balls to fill their shape. The students enjoyed glazing their creation a variety of fun colors. Their creation was hung by ribbon or raffia.
